I chose to call Wix customer support directly. There are also options for ticketing and chat available. What I found impressive was the incredibly thorough help center page. If there was an issue Wix missed, I could not find it.

I searched the page for what I believe are the most relevant issues. I also found some excellent articles explaining how to troubleshoot specific issues.

The price you will pay is dependent on which plan you select. Most people will have everything required in the base plan for $14.50 per month. The plan is excellent for both personal and small business websites, blogs and a lot more.

The most expensive plan is the top tier Wix package for $56 per month. The plan is fantastic, including unlimited storage, Google Analytics integration, unlimited bandwidth, unlimited video hours and all eCommerce sites are 100 commission-free.

Once you select your Wix plan, you can add additional features such as a premium email address. You can find a good Wix plan regardless of your budget.

Another exceptional advantage of choosing Wix is there is a free option available for beginners. The free Wix version includes 500 Mb of both bandwidth and storage. You will not receive Google Analytics integration or a free domain name.

If you choose the free Wix plan, you can simply use the blog domain extension instead. The structure of your address will be different. My issue is this infrastructure does not look nearly as professional.

Your SEO will be negatively impacted because Google will most likely not rank any website without a primary domain name. My recommendation is to try the free version to make certain you like Wix as much as I do.

Wix includes a free .com, .org, .net or .co in all of the premium plans. At this time, there is no domain extension available for New Zealand. If you want this extension, you can purchase one from a third-party registrar.

Once you have your domain name, you can easily connect everything to Wix with a few clicks of your mouse.

My Final Recommendation

After researching and using Wix, I have no hesitation in giving an excellent recommendation. Wix is so easy to use, I find the service exceptional for anyone in New Zealand creating their first website.

I also highly recommend Wix for small businesses, eCommerce stores and travel blogs. Wix is one of the best options I have seen.
